PlainWarranty collects minimal data. We use privacy-focused analytics (Umami) that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. We track page views, referral sources, and device types in aggregate form only.

All data displayed on this site comes from public records: the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database, BBB public complaint records, FTC Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA) guidance, state attorney-general consumer protection filings, and each company's published plan documentation. No private or proprietary data is used. No personally identifiable information from these datasets is stored or displayed.

Editorial Independence

Content on PlainWarranty is compiled by our editorial team: raw data from the CFPB, FTC MMWA guidance, state AG consumer protection filings, and published plan documents is transformed into readable profiles by our continuous editorial pipeline, validated against the source before publication. The PlainWarranty editorial team, operating under Kiznis Studio, is responsible for editorial standards and corrections. PlainWarranty is informational and does not provide legal advice.

We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or promoted placement from any home warranty company, service-contract provider, or covered entity. Our only revenue source is contextual display advertising served by Google AdSense — advertisers do not influence which companies we cover or how we present data, and they do not receive preferential placement.
